The Australasian Hospitality Industry Exhibition, also known as Hospex, has announced it will return to Sydney in 2019.

First held in 1985, Hospex is making a come back in response to the growing demand from the hospitality industry to source a multitude of products and services from a variety of suppliers within the one location.

Hospex will take place in March 2019 at Sydney Olympic Park and will showcase the latest innovations, products and services for every provider of hospitality services including hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafes, restaurants, hospitals and schools.

A conference and seminar series will be held concurrently with the exhibition addressing issues of development, design, fit-out and technology for new and existing properties.

Industry experts will present innovative technology, design concepts, ideas and product applications covering every facet of hospitality operations including front-of-house, back-of-house, technology, kitchens and guest amenities.

The exhibition will be managed by the Australian Gift and Homewares Association (AGHA), organisers of the Sydney and Melbourne Gift Fairs. In conjunction with the Australasian Furnishing Association, Furnitex Commercial will co-locate with Hospex to showcase the best furniture and furnishings available from Australia and overseas.

AGHA CEO Wayne Castle says the exhibition will benefit many industry sectors.

“With AGHA’s extensive experience in organising large-scale trade exhibitions, the fit with this exhibition is perfect,” he says. “It is timely that industry bodies and associations work together to support Australian businesses. The Australasian Hospitality Industry Exhibition is a great solution.”

Managers, owners, purchasing officers, departmental heads, designers, specifiers or any providers of hospitality will be able to source everything in the one place. For the first-time, owner-operators of boutique accommodation venues including Airbnb hosts will be invited to attend.

Exhibition, conference and sponsorship opportunities are now open with expressions of interest being sought from Australia and overseas to be part of the event.
