Vietnamese hawker-bar, Hanoi Hannah, opened its second venue in Elsternwick on 25 October 2016.

The new venue will serve an almost identical menu to that of its Windsor twin including poached chicken, tender beef ph?, vermicelli salads and a range of rice paper rolls, such as yellowfin tuna and wasabi mayo and bbq pork and prawn.

Beverages will include fresh coconut juice (served in the coconut shell) and a range of slushies, as well as beer, wine or cocktails.

This venue is the fifth for the owners in as many years (including Saigon Sally, Tokyo Tina and Hanoi Hannah Express Lane) but their first outside of Windsor.

“We noticed a lack of hawker style venues on the Southside, and that spurred us to launch the first Hanoi Hannah. It took off immediately and has built up a loyal group of regulars, so now we feel it’s time to take her further south,” said director Simon Blacher.

“We’ve been waiting a long time for this spot, and we predict that Elsternwick will be one of the hot new suburbs of Melbourne; we’ve noticed a few apartment developments being built and the cool new shops and venues will come next,” adds Blacher.

The venue has capacity for 55 guests, made up primarily by outdoor seating and will offer takeaway. Hanoi Hannah Elsternwick is open 12pm–late, from Monday to Sunday.
