The team from pizza restaurant Maybe Frank have ventured into the bar scene with the launch of Maybe Sammy.

Located on Harrington Street in The Rocks, Sydney, the concept is based on 1950s Hollywood and Vegas glamour.

Martin Hudak (American Bar at The Savoy, London) and Balazs Molnar are part of the bar team alongside Maybe Frank’s creative Director Andrea Gualdi who was named as Diageo’s bartender of the year in 2017.

“The experience of drinking at Maybe Sammy will be what is most memorable, and our bar staff are at the heart of that,” says co-owner Vince Lombardo. They take their craft seriously, but they know how to have fun and they want to make sure that everyone enjoys the venue as much as we do.”

Maybe Sammy offers a core cocktail list of eight drinks which are all based on classics with a twist.

The venue also features a range of cocktails that showcase coffee including the Sammy Shakerato with Ethiopian kochere natural, Campari and Limoncello and an Irish coffee with Redbreast 12yo Irish whiskey, Costa Rica azul natural, honey, sugar and cream.

Mini drinks for $10, alcohol-free cocktails and vintage Champagne are also available.

The 70-seat venue’s bar menu has been designed to work with the drinks offering, with small plates such as oysters, charcuterie and cheese boards on offer.
