American fast-casual juice chain Jamba will open its first store in Australia, with plans to roll out several locations thereafter.

Franchisee Newford QSR Group is behind the local launch, and has also brought other US concepts to Australia including Cinnabon in Queensland.

Jamba’s first storefront will be in Melbourne Central and is slated to open between mid and late November, with a second location planned for the Sunshine Coast also due to open this month.

“Jamba is a brand that’s adored worldwide,” says Danny Cheung, managing director of Newford QSR Group.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to bring the people of Australia a one-of-a-kind experience…”

Jamba is best known for its Whirl’d smoothies that are available in flavours of strawberry, mango, peach, matcha pineapple, and more.

The Australian store will also offer other iced beverages, fresh juices, and acai-style and yoghurt bowls.

The official opening date of the Melbourne and Sunshine Coast stores have yet to be confirmed, but the brand has announced a Sydney location as well as additional Melbourne sites are in the works.
