Do you want to boost your bookings or fill your empty tables? Don’t miss the opportunity to get exposure to millions of Aussie diners and entice them into your restaurant throughout February and March.

To encourage people back into restaurants, TheFork will be launching its popular dining event TheFork Festival from 15 February until 28 March 2021.

When? 15 February until 28 March 2021

What? 50 per cent discount on food only

TheFork Festival is Australia’s biggest dining campaign to help support all restaurants across the country.

The six-week initiative provides a huge boost for restaurants, with millions of diners being enticed to eat-out through a 50 per cent discount on their final food bill.

TheFork encourage all Australian restaurants to join the Festival, even if they’re not currently a customer of TheFork or if they’re using an alternative software provider.

Restaurants can sign up to TheFork Festival and they’ll be available to book for the duration of the six-week event, getting exposure to millions of diners. They can then stop taking bookings at any time post-festival.

The proof of the Festival’s success is in the numbers. Restaurants participating in previous Festivals have seen 11 times more reservations than restaurants that don’t participate, and 4.5 times more reservations than the weeks prior to the event.

It is also a great opportunity for restaurants to welcome new customers into their venues, with 97 per cent of festival bookings coming from first-time diners.

Restaurants then have the opportunity to convert these new customers into loyal diners after their first visit.

Why participate?

  • Attract new customers during and after the Festival
  • Attract new guests and turn them into loyal customers
  • Increase the number of bookings
  • Increased visibility to TheFork’s 1.2m* unique monthly audience and 1m+ diner database
  • Benefit from Festival advertising, email, social and PR campaigns

“It’s been a challenging time for the hospitality industry and having empty tables is the most expensive element for any restaurant,” says Gary Burrows, Country Manager TheFork Australia.

“Through our event, we’ll see customers venturing out to support their local restaurant scene whilst enjoying great food for incredible prices.

“With reservation numbers down year-on-year across Australia, this is just one of the ways that we can incentivise diners to get out to restaurants. The Festival provides a much needed increase in business for all Australian restaurants.”
