Cargo Crew were approached by Rydges to refresh their uniforms as part of their brand evolution.

As Rydges Hotels looked to the future, it was important that their uniform refresh complemented their commitment to guest experience. Starting with their most valued asset: their people.

They approached Cargo Crew, as the modern uniform experts, to curate their new look, knowing they would take into account:

  1. Rydges’ diverse team roles
  2. Brand evolution and future design
  3. National Australian and New Zealand roll out
  4. Longevity in terms of style and quality
  5. Easy online platform for reordering and ongoing management

Collaborating closely with the Rydges team, Cargo Crew’s goal was to deliver a new element of authenticity to the guest experience. It was essential that the uniforms were dynamic in their design to reflect Rydges’ warm hospitality, thoughtful details, reliable value and signature service that goes the extra mile.

Cargo Crew carefully considered colour palette, style, comfort, and flexibility to ensure the entire team felt proud of their uniform and the brand they represent.

Job function and scale

The brand refresh was rolled out to 2,000 staff across Australia and NZ, with united team looks for management, front of house, food and beverage, house keeping, and maintenance.

Easy staff styling

Centred on a ‘build-your-own’ look concept, the Cargo Crew uniform consists of an expertly curated mix of pieces that combine classic cuts with modern detailing. Staff can easily mix and match their look and even add a personal touch with a range of accessories that complement the Rydges colour palette. This unique approach allows staff to feel empowered, while always looking cohesive and on-brand.
