The hospitality group behind Cantina OK!, Bar Planet, Tio’s, and Cliff Dive have opened their latest venue Centro 86 in the Sydney CBD.

Located on Pitt Street with entry via Hoskings Place, the basement tequila bar is open daily from 4pm until 2am.

Centro 86 is inspired by the old cantinas in Mexico City, but with a hint of the Much Group’s flair through eclectic furnishings, plenty of colourful artwork, and stellar yet inventive drinks.

The name Centro translates to ‘centre’ which sends a nod to the new haunt being the centre of the Mucho Group’s tequila universe.

Speaking of tequila, guests can expect to choose from 100 bottles which range from $13-100 a shot and include tipples the team have aged themselves, along with blue agave-based drops.

Fans of a stellar margarita are also in luck, with a dedicated menu serving up five different house versions along with the chance to create your own using the venue’s selection of tequila.

Other drinks include Latin-inspired cocktails featuring tequila, pisco, white rum, and fresh fruit and juice.

Food-wise, Mucho Group’s famed popcorn is on the menu but with a new secret spice blend.

Centro 86 is open daily from 4pm to 2am and is located at 86-88 Pitt Street, Sydney.
