The Langham Gold Coast is opening the doors to acclaimed Cantonese restaurant T’ang Court today.

It marks the first Australian location for T’ang Court, which showcases dishes inspired by those created during the Tang Dynasty.

The restaurant is internationally lauded, with T’ang Court Hong Kong securing three Michelin stars, which the restaurant has held consecutively since 2016.

Director of Chinese Cuisine for Langham Hospitality Group Howard Lam is at the helm of T’ang Court, and says the Gold Coast restaurant is huge for the local dining scene.

“Authentic, traditional Cantonese fine dining is comparatively rare in Australia, so we’re thrilled to bring this unique experience to life for locals and travellers,” says the chef.

“Diners at T’ang Court on the Gold Coast will be able to indulge in the same golden age Cantonese flavours that have earned T’ang Court … three Michelin stars and seen its many other award-winning sister restaurants across the world become highly-sought-after dining destinations.”

The 80-seat restaurant’s signature menu showcases dishes from Southern China.

Duck features across three applications on the menu including duck pancakes with hoi sin sauce, a duck bun with lychee and raspberry sauce (caviar optional) and sliced duck breast and leg with plum sauce.

Others highlights cover sautéed pearl meat with ginger, shallots and Asian greens and spicy black tiger prawns with roasted garlic.

“We’re excited to see such a respected and sought-after dining experience breathe new life into true fine dining here on the Gold Coast,” says The Langham Gold Coast General Manager John O’Shea.

T’ang Court is open for lunch and dinner Wednesday to Sunday.
