Flavio Carnevale has expanded his Sydney restaurant portfolio with Martina in Rose Bay.
Just like sibling venue Marta in Rushcutters Bay, Martina is showcasing Roman cuisine and offering diners a range of all-day dining options from maritozzi in the morning to pinsa at night.
“My vision for Martina is a place where you can pop in at any given time and always find food, coffee, and wine,” says Carnevale.
Martina opened on O’Sullivan Road last month and starts each day as a Roman bakery, a concept Carnevale first launched at Marta during lockdown.
Guests can enjoy a range of paninis, pizettes, and Italian pastries alongside coffee in the morning before Martina shifts into lunch service, and later, dinner.
The menu kicks off with a range of antipasto including the classic proscuitto with melon and cacio e pepe suppli before moving into pastas – think cuttlefish spaghettoni and vodka lasagna.
Proteins span deep-fried blue eye and minute steak, with Roman pizzas fast becoming a signature of the restaurant.
Guests can finish off their meal with coffee granita or a ricotta sour cherry tart before taking home a loaf of bread to enjoy later on.
Martina is open seven days a week.
