Brisbane’s West Village precinct will welcome Ippin Japanese Dining in April 2023; the latest concept from Restaurateur Kenny Lee.
Lee is the co-owner of Kuon Omakase in Sydney as well as Allta and Funda, which will open in the CBD shortly.
Ippin has secured the second floor site of the Garden Pavilion and will overlook The Common outdoor area. The restaurant features a main dining room as well as two private dining spaces that seat 10-12 guests.
Tatsuya Miwa has been appointed head chef of the 140-seater, which will run lunch and dinner service.
Dishes will revolve around locally sourced seafood and proteins and include yakitori, cuttlefish tempura and lobster popcorn as well as two to three desserts that will rotate.
French, Australian and Italian wines are the focus of the wine list in addition to sake, a snappy cocktail list and select spirits specifically curated to complement the menu.
Official opening date to come.
