Sydney’s Chatswood is now home to Kowloon Cafe Express which is serving up authentic Hong Kong-style cafe food and drinks.

It’s the fourth venue from Owner Howin Chui and Business Partner Howard Leei, with Kowloon Cafe outposts in Sydney’s Haymarket, Burwood, and Eastwood.

The Chatswood venue hosts an express-dine-in experience, while still serving all the signature Kowloon Cafe dishes the brand is known for.

Some of those dishes include the Hong Kong-style French toast with condensed milk, honey, and maple; the stir-fried black crispy butter pineapple bun; and Spam and egg sandwiches.

Drinks-wise, guests can expect Hong Kong-style condensed milk tea and coffee; red bean ice with vanilla ice cream; and lemon Ribena.

“We are excited to bring Kowloon Cafe to the bustling streets of Chatswood,” says Chui.

“Like all other Kowloon Cafes, the restaurant will pay tribute to the authentic Hong Kong culture through our food, music and decor. We have fitted one into the dining area, transforming the dining experience and transporting some of our diners to feel back at home.”

Darren Kong of Sydney’s Kong Studios is behind the design of all of the Kowloon Cafe outposts, with the Chatswood venue continuing the theme of an authentic Hong Kong-inspired sensory experience for guests.

Chui launched the first Kowloon Cafe in Haymarket in 2019 with the desire to bring an authentic Hong Kong dining experience to Sydney.

Kowloon Cafe Express is open daily from 11.30am to 8.30pm at 3/370 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood, New South Wales.
