Chef and Restaurateur Ashley-Maree Kent has opened her second venue Bar Rocco in Brisbane’s Coorparoo.

Bar Rocco follows Kent’s first venue Ramona Trattoria which opened in 2022 and is located next door to her latest venture.

The Italian restaurant and bar boasts a more casual offering than its sibling venue according to Kent, and is designed for guests to linger longer with share-style plates.

The menu is a showcase of Mediterranean-style ingredients and flavours while also championing the venue’s wood and coal grill by Samuel Fraraccio.

Guests can expect dishes such as crocchette di patate; Skull Island tiger prawns with capers, herbs and lemon; crumbed veal panino; and fiori di zucca fritti.

There’s also a dedicated pizza and pizzetta menu that is also available for takeaway.

On the drinks front, the wine list spans across Australia and Europe with a selection of tipples open under Coravin plus a cocktail offering that serves riffs on classics alongside new creations.

“Bar Rocco is a welcoming place for locals to enjoy a friendly European atmosphere over a late afternoon drink or an exquisite culinary experience in a more casual setting,” says Kent.

“Like its big sister, Ramona Trattoria, Bar Rocco will reflect my passion for crafting authentic Italian dishes while adding a twist of playfulness and charm.”

Bar Rocco also offers private events for 40 seated, or 50-60 cocktail-style.

Bar Rocco is now open Wednesday through to Saturday at 131 Leicester Street, Coorparoo, Qld.
