Mark Wahlberg’s family US burger franchise Wahlburgers is set to expand its Australian presence with the launch of its second restaurant in Queensland’s Paradise Centre on 13 October.

Wahlburgers Queensland will be part of Paradise Centre’s $40 million beachfront dining redevelopment.

It also marks the expansion of the precinct’s new outdoor dining offering, which initially opened in September.

“We’re excited to expand Paradise Centre’s beachfront dining offering with the opening of Queensland’s very first iteration of the iconic American burger franchise,” says Paradise Centre Manager Ian Robertson.

The menu will feature a BLT schnitty, Fiesta burger, truffle burger, crispy fish, portobello mushroom burger and more.

Customers can also order the Aussie upgrade which sees pineapple, beetroot and egg added to their burger of choice.

Vegetarian options and gluten-free buns will also be on offer to cater to all dietary requirements.

Sides will encompass everything from French fries, potato gems and onion rings to bacon mac and cheese and kale and Brussels slaw.

On the salad front expect a classic Caesar, chicken schnitty, portobello mushroom and more.

The venue will deliver an extensive cocktail menu and music on weekends.

Wahlburgers will join a raft of existing Paradise Centre venues including El Camino Cantina, Nahm Talay Thai, Hero Sushi, Enzo’s Cucina and Gelato Messina.

TGI Fridays is also set to join the fray on 3 November this year.
