Adriano Zumbo’s dessert company Zumbo has been placed in voluntary administration according to a report by Good Food.

A creditors meeting was reportedly held by administrators on Wednesday morning in Sydney which was attended by landlords and trade creditors.

According to Good Food, attendees were allegedly told debts could reach as high as $10 million but could be offset by assets including equipment and company-owned property totalling $8 million.

Zumbo currently has eight locations across Sydney and Melbourne and stores will continue to trade as normal.

The pastry chef shot to fame thanks to his macarons and dessert creations including the V8 cake and the croquembouche, which both appeared on MasterChef Australia.
