Mexican food franchise, Zambrero, is launching a home delivery arm in Western Australia on 20 February.
Stage one of the launch will be rolled out to six trial stores across the Perth metro area with customers able to order from the Joondalup, Midland, Canning Vale, Ascot, Hillarys and Spearwood stores.
Stage 2 will widen the radius, with more stores set offer delivery from March.
Zambrero’s popularity in Western Australia has grown significantly over the past three years, with the number of stores expanding from 14 in 2014 to 33 in 2017, and another eight due to open this year.
WA area developer, Gordon Bain, sees the expansion into the home delivery market as a natural progression by the brand to meet the current market demand.
“From the reaction we’ve had, we think Mexican home delivery is going to be a bit of a game changer,” Bain said.
“When we announced our plan to launch home delivery on our Joondalup store’s Facebook page we received overwhelming support from our customers with over 6,000 responses in the first 24 hours.
“For a long time, people have been restricted by a delivery market dominated by pizza, so by offering a home delivery service, Zambrero is giving its customers the convenience of having fresh, healthy take away food delivered to their door.”
