The family behind Golden Century has opened XOPP in The Exchange building located in Darling Square, Sydney.

XOPP joins the Wong family’s portfolio of Sydney restaurants which include the flagship Golden Century and The Century at The Star, and is run by Billy Wong, the son of Eric and Linda.

The 160-seat venue will offer modern Cantonese cuisine created by a kitchen team comprising Golden Century chefs and newcomers such as Sepia’s Zachary Ng.

Dishes include the iconic XO pippies along with typhoon shelter-style southern rock lobster, Peking duck pancakes and roasted short rib with white radish.

The space also features a bar area where diners can order drinks and enjoy a range of snacks such as XO mayo prawn rolls and chicken liver parfait with Shaoxing wine on Chinese donuts.

Jon Osbeiston has designed a 250-strong wine list and there’s also a range of beers, spirits and loose-leaf teas available.

XOPP is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner.
