As part of this year’s World's 50 Best Restaurants campaign, leading chefs from around the world will take part in live theatre shows in Sydney and Melbourne.

In April, chefs from the some of the world’s most highly acclaimed restaurants will come to Australia for the presentation of the 50 Best Restaurants Awards in Melbourne. As part of their travels, industry icons include Massimo Bottura (Osteria Francescana, currently ranked number one), Jordi Roca (El Celler de Can Roca), Grant Achatz (Alinea), Brett Graham (The Ledbury), Gaggan Anand (Gaggan) and Daniel Humm (Eleven Madison Park), will join Australia’s Peter Gilmore (Quay) for the #50BestTalks.

?ABC presenter Annabel Crabb will host both events on Saturday 1 April (Sydney Opera House) and Monday 3 April (Melbourne’s Margaret Court Arena).?

Australian chef Brett Graham, who operates London’s The Ledbury said “I am thrilled to be returning home to be a part of The World’s 50 Best Restaurants event program – what an amazing way to shine the spotlight on Australia and its world-class dining scene. To share the stage with Dominique, Massimo and one of my best mates Peter Gilmore is a huge honour and I look forward to hearing what they have to say, learning from them and sharing with the audience what we do here at The Ledbury and a little about my journey as a chef.”

The group of media and influencers who chair the voting panels for the World’s 50 Best Restaurants awards will visit South Australia from 6 to 8 April 2017. The 26 Academy Chairs will visit vineyards in the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley, meet with local producers and South Australian chefs, and dine in some of the state’s best restaurants as part of their two day annual general meeting.

The gala awards night will be held at Melbourne’s Royal Exhibition Building on the evening of 5 April.
