Rabobank’s annual Food Waste report found Australian households binned $8.9 billion of food in 2018. Australia throws away 298kg of food per person, per year, making our country the fourth-highest waster per capita.

Restaurants can play a key role in education and changing consumer behaviour from offering different portion sizes to advising customers on how much food is adequate during the ordering process.
