The Foodservice Suppliers Association of Australia (FSAA) hosted its annual Awards of Excellence last week in an event held at the Grand Hyatt in Melbourne.
370 guests attended the ceremony which recognises outstanding distributors, suppliers, innovators and industry legends.
“The turnout, recognition and well-deserved accolades, especially given the recent unprecedented times our industry has faced, has been nothing short of extraordinary,” says CEO Minnie Constan.
“This year we also included the inaugural Chairperson’s Honour Award, which recognised those unsung heroes among us. The ones that have gone above and beyond over the past 12 months.”
The Distributor Awards acknowledge distributor leadership and overall excellence within the foodservice industry and demonstrate an appreciation of the vital role distributors play within the foodservice channel.
Voting was conducted by suppliers across six different criteria including communication, manufacturer co-operation, staff and site professionalism, administration, end-user relationships and marketing commitment.
Food and grocery distributors were also tasked with voting for the Supplier of the Year Awards, which covers food, beverage, packaging and equipment.
The Innovation Awards honed in on companies that are leading the industry through innovation in culinary products and is judged by an independent panel of chefs.
