The Chippo Hotel – formerly known as The Chippendale Hotel – has relaunched with a new fitout and menu that combines classic pub fare with Louisiana flavours.

Louisiana-born head chef Charlie Fisher joins The Chippo Hotel team, bringing with him a menu that includes Coconut Shrimp, Southern Fried Chicken, and Yankee-Doodle Meatballs, alongside Chicken Parmigiana and Sirloin Steak.

Fisher has worked in England, Australia and at the Michelin selected restaurant, Castel Marie-Louise in La Baule-Escoublac in France.

Co-owner Brett Strauss (formerly Keystone) said the refurbishment is the result of the success of the Cheekyburger pop-up, run by Sam Marsh and Adam Bailey [ex-Merivale],which will be a permanent feature at the relaunched venue.

"We loved working with the Cheekyburger guys and we see this new era of The Chippo Hotel as the beginning of an exciting permanent partnership,” said Strauss.

Classic pub nights include Monday Trivia, Tuesday Comedy and Wednesday Improv, as well as Sunday Pig on the Spit in the courtyard, kicking off on Sunday, 5 November.

The Chippo Hotel will be open from Monday to Saturday 12pm–late and Sundays, 12pm–10pm.
