Industry connectors Straight To The Source are putting producers on the map with a new directory.
Known for hosting chef tours across the country, Straight To The Source has launched an online platform that shines a light on Australian and New Zealand producers.
Founders Tawnya Bahr and Lucy Allon have compiled their connections, with everything from pasteurised pork to small-batch craft spirits, Australian-grown cocoa and green garlic powder hosted on the platform.
“We’ve been hearing for years what a challenge it is for producers to get their product, brand or destination in front of the right people, and we’ve always been focused on telling the incredible stories of some of the best food and beverage brands in the country,” says Bahr.
“We now have the technology to connect the two and bring our renowned offering to life.”
The platform is free to use, with users able to search for producers, read about their offerings, find stockists and connect with them directly.
“This directory can help you find some really unique products from emerging industries,” says Allon.
“We have growers producing cocoa in Cairns and vanilla in the Bloomfield River Valley. And if you can’t find something, we can help you source it.”
