SPC ProVital – long established as a trusted brand across the aged care sector thanks to its combination of award-winning, easy-open portion control packaging and high quality fruit ingredients – is stepping up to champion the hard yards done by workers in this challenging environment.
The SPC ProVital Aged Care Angels campaign publicly recognises and rewards Australia’s aged care staff for their outstanding efforts as the last line of defence in protecting our nation’s most vulnerable people.
“Australia’s aged care workforce is continually asked to achieve more with less, and they do so with very little fanfare,” said Maria Naughton, Senior Brand Manager of Functional Foods at SPC.
“Aged Care Angels is about rewarding these people and raising the profile of what they do.”
The Aged Care Angels campaign asks people to nominate an outstanding worker from residential aged care or community home care – including those working on the foodservice side of the operation, such as chefs, hospitality services managers, café staff, meal attendants and wait staff.
Those workers nominated will have the chance to win one of 10 grand prize packs valued at $725 each, including a $500 Visa gift card, a fortnights’ worth of ready made meals from the Good Meal Co, and an SPC hamper. Each person who nominated the winners also receives a $50 gift card.
There are also 10 Level 2 prize packs valued at $300 each and a morning tea valued at $250 to be won (with the latter hosted at the winner’s aged care facility).
One grand prize winner will be selected to be featured in an article on SPC media partner HelloCare’s online aged care media platform at www.hellocare.com.au.
Aged Care Angels runs from 4 to 25 October 2021. “We feel it is important to acknowledge these frontline staff who make a positive impact in older people’s lives,” Maria emphasised. “Caregiving can often be a thankless task and yet those who work in aged care are among our most dedicated. And as the events of the past 18 months have shown, that dedication has never been more important.”
