McCain Foods has introduced two new offerings to their range of premium foodservice products, Edge Cut Fries and Sweet Potato Cross Trax.

The products are ideal for foodservice venues like pubs, cafes, and restaurants that are looking to give themselves an edge over the competition.

The shape and seasoning of Edge Cut Fries has been specifically designed to ensure the ultimate level of crispiness and crunch, just what people are looking for in a chip. The chips are seasoned with a blend of paprika, black pepper and onion, a classic flavour profile customers love.

For consumers always on the lookout for new and delicious menu items complementing their go-to orders of sandwiches and burgers, Sweet Potato Cross Trax tick all the boxes.

“McCain research found customers view sweet potatoes as ‘different’, with one in two customers stating they would order them if they were listed on a menu due to the chips’ sweet flavour and perception as a healthier alternative to the traditional potato,” said Alice Briant, McCain Foodservice Product Manager.

Sweet Potato Cross Trax are shaped in a criss-cross pattern and coated in a light batter, resulting in a crisp chip that retains its natural flavour. The chips are perfect as a standalone menu item or accompanying a main meal.

Edge Cut Fries are available in Australia and New Zealand and Sweet Potato Cross Trax are currently only available in Australia.
