For this year’s Nestlé Golden Chef’s Hat Award, we’re looking for talented young chefs to show us their culinary magic.
Now open for entry, 2021 will see chefs enter online, submit a three-minute video, cook-off live and share in a culinary journey that will take their careers to the next level.
To give young chefs the chance to share their talent, we’ll also be retaining individual-chef entry and video submissions. Regional and final cook-offs are back, with prizes at every stage. Twelve grand finalist chefs will be selected from across Australia and New Zealand and will compete in the ultimate culinary showdown at Fine Food Australia, with one winner taking out Golden Chef of the Year and a $10,000 AUD cash prize.
“One of the key things we’ve learnt over the past year is the importance of community and standing by our young chefs. We’re excited to be back to in-person cook-offs for 2021,” says executive chef Mark Clayton, Nestlé Professional.
Entry is now open until 21st May.

Registration and video submissions close Friday 21 May (11:59 pm AEST).
