Justin Lane is located in Burleigh Heads and has been a part of the Gold Coast’s cocktail culture for more than 10 years.
Johnny Hall is the general manager of the venue, which encompasses a rooftop bar, arcade, pasta bar and balcony area for patrons to enjoy.
The venue’s cocktail selection caters to those who are choosing to forgo alcohol, with one of the signature drinks showcasing Lyre’s Italian Orange.
The non-alcoholic spirit features blood orange and red citrus notes with a hit of maraschino, which adds balance. “This is an installation for people to enjoy all the art [of cocktails] without the intoxication,” says Hall.
Hall combines the Italian Orange with lemon juice and house tinctures in a shaker with ice and chills down the mixture. The drink is poured into a glass and topped with Fever Tree Italian blood orange soda before being garnished with an orange wedge. “Cocktails are about experience and having something to say,” says Hall, “and that shouldn’t be segregated to people looking to drink.”
