Hospitality group Solotel has announced changes to its management team.
CEO Justine Baker has decided to step down from her position after more than 20 years with the group. However, Baker will remain on deck as an advisor to the board.
“It is the right time for me to take on new challenges and look for board opportunities within the broader food and beverage industry,” she says.
“I greatly respect both Bruce [Solomon, Solotel founder and director] and Elliot and am thrilled that I am able to continue to work with the Solotel Board and advise on strategic projects for the company.”

Elliot Solomon has been appointed as the new CEO of Solotel, which will see him look after a portfolio of more than 25 venues.
Elliot is the son of Bruce Solomon, and has worked for the group for the past 10 years.
“I have been lucky to work with and learn from Justine over the last few years and she is one of the industry’s best,” he says.
“I am really excited and energised for 2021. With the support of a strong team, as well as working alongside Bruce and my sister Anna, I’m looking forward to exploring new opportunities and innovative ways for us to work in the new COVID-normal landscape.”
Elliot will officially commence his role on 1 March.
