BrewDog has announced it will open their first Australian operation in Brisbane.

Comprising a tap room, brewery and bar, the location is slated to open in the coming weeks.

DogTap bar will feature 28 taps and showcase BrewDog brews from the Punk IPA to the Headliners, which have been shipped to Australia for close to 10 years. Aussie wines will also be on offer alongside local beers, spirits and soft drinks.

The brand’s menu of burgers, hot dogs, salads and wings will also be available plus more substantial dishes such as pork cheeks, calamari and a weekend brunch offering.

“DogTap Brisbane is one of the biggest and best bars we’ve ever
created, and we’re so excited to open this amazing space,” says co-founder James Watt.

The tap room features indoor and outdoor areas for visitors along with a beer cellar made from a shipping container. Guests will also be able to purchase beers from the tap room as well as merchandise.

BrewDog anticipates the brewery will be producing beer by January 2020, with the space housing an automated brewing system that will allow the team to produce small-batch brews alongside the core range.
