International Chef Roy Choi is set to join an epic line-up at the World Class Cocktail Festival 2022 from 15-17 September in Sydney.

The Los Angeles icon is best known as the co-host of Netflix’s The Chef Show with Actor Jon Favreau and reinventing the street food scene with his Korean-Mexican taco truck Kogi.

“I freakin’ love Australia. The food and drink scene is one of the most inventive and fun that I’ve ever experienced,” says the chef.

Choi will be teaming up with Beatbox Kitchen Owner Raph Rashid as a part of the Don Julio Food Truck Fiesta where the pair will curate a limited-edition menu alongside margaritas from El Loco.

The Kogi x Taco Truck will feature alongside Beatbox Kitchen (Melbourne) and Ricos Tacos (Sydney).

“I’m so excited to be able to travel across the ocean once again to Oz for the Don Julio Food Truck Fiesta at the World Class Cocktail Festival,” adds Choi.

“I’m honoured and think everyone will enjoy the collab with Raph and his team, and I can’t wait to explore Sydney for the first time while I’m in town.”

The festival program also includes a one-night female-led event at Shell House with the likes of Chefs Danielle Alvarez and Analiese Gregory.

Tickets to the Food Truck Fiesta are priced at $25.

The World Class Cocktail Festival line up will run from 9-18 September.
