Burwood Brickworks Shopping Centre in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs has welcomed a new culinary addition in the form of eatery Rombe.

Rombe is located on the rooftop of the Burwood Brickworks building and is open from 8am until 4pm serving an all-day, modern-Australian menu.

From late-April, Rombe is slated to open for dinner service, too.

Head Chef Jerry Yi (ex-Shihuishi and Red Spice Road) is spearheading the culinary offering which champions local Australian produce.

The breakfast menu includes ricotta hotcakes, avocado toast, salmon pastrami with soft egg, seasonal granola, and more.

For lunch, guests can expect fresh salads such as tuna niçoise with soft egg and avocado; plus yellow fin tuna spaghetti, charcoal-grilled snapper, and a double cheeseburger with fries.

Drinks-wise, guests can order Rombe’s signature smoothies throughout the day alongside coffee, tea, and fresh-pressed juices.

Rombe also serves a list of signature cocktails alongside local and international wines.

“We’re thrilled to introduce Rombe, as it’s not just an exciting addition to our robust hospitality offerings but as a testament to our vision to create more than just a shopping centre destination,” says Burwood Brickworks Centre Manager Robert Breda.

“Rombe offers a dining experience unlike any other in Melbourne, inviting both locals and visitors from further afield to immerse themselves in a unique setting, surrounded by the community garden on our incredible rooftop.”

Rombe seats about 120 people and up to 300 standing and offers a range of private event options and restaurant buy-outs.

Rombe is now open and is located at Burwood Brickworks, 70 Middleborough Road, Burwood East, Victoria.
