Rockpool Dining Group has unveiled their latest concept, Burger Project Black Label, which is set to open in May in Sydney’s CBD.

Black Label will offer a larger menu than Burger Project, offering up deluxe options with a mid-range price tag.

“Think of Black Label as a hybrid of our premium Rockpool Bar & Grill burgers and our everyday Burger Project favourites,” says group culinary director Neil Perry.

“It’s everything our customers love about both brands, which we’ve blended into the ultimate burger, breakfast and bar destination.”

The menu is still in development, but will most likely feature Texan BBQ beef, Deep South crispy chicken, falafel and crumbed fish fillet creations.

Sauces, spices, slaws and other components will be included and the venue will also offer salads, sides, dips, sodas and shakes.

Breakfast will be available, with Mecca Coffee supplying a house blend, special blend and nitro coffee on tap and Sonoma providing sourdough and other baked goods.

The bar will serve up adult shakes, craft beers, cocktails, wines and whiskies.

Fast-casual service is replaced with the special casual treatment, which means plates and glassware replace disposable vessels, and meals and drinks will be delivered to the table.

Burger Project Black Label is expected to open late May at Grosvenor Place, 225 George Street, replacing Sake Jr which closed in April.
