The Gold Coast’s Robina Town Centre is preparing to launch a $160 million development featuring 55 retailers in late 2016.

The Kitchens is designed as a community centre where artisans, chefs, providores, and purveyors can come together to showcase seasonal, fresh, local produce, and consumers can sample and learn from fresh food retailers, cafes, bars and restaurants. A series of tastings, workshops and master classes in the open kitchens and other pop-up venues will also form part of the offering.

“We are delighted to announce the launch of our brand new fresh food and dining experience, The Kitchens, which is set to open in late 2016. Globally inspired but locally focused, The Kitchens will unite our community through a shared love of food as we take consumers on a culinary journey of discovery,” said Daniel West, curator of The Kitchens.

West said The Kitchens would not only showcase a selection of fresh, seasonal produce, cured meats, artisan cheeses, desserts, tea and coffee, fresh juices, raw treats, boutique wines, craft beers, and vegan products, but also dishes from across the world.

“From South American and Greek street food, to New-York style bagels, Italian wood-fired pizzas, pastas, gelato and wines, traditional Asian dishes, Australian ales and local seafood, the finest flavours of the world will come together to create an unrivalled dining experience for every occasion,” he said.

The Kitchens will also offer live, local music, film, theatre and art through an ongoing events program.

“The launch of The Kitchens marks another significant milestone in the evolution of Robina Town Centre as we continue to deliver our customers with an outstanding shopping, dining and entertainment experience,” said Glen McAnulty, centre manager of Robina Town Centre.
