R&CA and the NSW Wine Industry Association have announced the winners of the New South Wales Wine List Awards at Parliament House.
The awards are part of the 2017 Wine List Savour Australia Restaurant & Catering HOSTPLUS Awards for Excellence program and presented by the NSW Minister for Tourism and Major Events, and Assistant Minister for Skills, the Hon Adam Marshall MP.
Restaurants from both metropolitan and regional areas were recognised as part of the awards.
The winners of overall categories were:
▪ Best Metropolitan Wine List featuring New South Wales — Jonah’s Restaurant & Boutique Hotel, Whale Beach
▪ Best Regional Wine List featuring New South Wales — Charred Kitchen & Bar, Orange.
R&CA CEO Juliana Payne congratulated all the respective finalists and winners for each of the categories.
“This year’s NSW Wine Awards [was] all about showcasing some of the state’s finest hospitality businesses who each do a wonderful job of promoting exceptional quality, New South Wales-produced wines on their menus,” she says.
“As we know, consumers are constantly saying how important high-quality, locally-produced wines are to the enjoyment of their meals and we are thrilled to recognise individual businesses who have excelled in their wine list development,”
“Serving fine wines [with] a great meal enriches the overall dining experience and is a key part of why international and domestic tourists consistently rate dining out as one their favourite holiday activities.”
