Noosa Food & Wine Events, the company that owns Berardo’s Restaurant and the Noosa International Food and Wine Festival, entered voluntary administration in May last year just weeks after the 2015 event took place. In September it was announced that the festival would return in 2016 with founder Jim Berardo back in the driver's seat.

“It’s full speed ahead for 2016,” Berardo told news.com.au at the time. “We’re working through things, and I’m going to make good on the creditors and pay them all off over a 23 month period.”
