The team behind Park Street Pasta & Wine are set to open the doors to new Italian restaurant, Osteria Renata, in Melbourne’s Prahran.

Business partners Alex Ghaddab and Chef Gus Cadden have teamed up once again to operate the venue.

“Osteria Renata will be a balance between adventurous and classic dishes, while our onsite pasta lab will allow Chef Gus to have some fun and challenge himself and his team with menu additions,” says Ghaddab.

“At the same time, we  want to become the neighbourhood Italian, not reinventing the wheel but sticking to what we are good at and paying respect to good quality, seasonal produce.”

The 58-seater will operate as a classic Italian osteria with an offering that is inspired by Ghaddab’s Polish-Ukrainian grandmother.

Guests can expect fresh pasta made in house, Tuscan-inspired desserts and fresh ice-cream whipped and scooped on demand.

Cicchetti and antipasti dishes will be priced from $8-$30, pasta from $28-$42 and mains from $35 -$60, while sides and desserts will be priced from $15-$20.

Osteria Renata will open in June.

The restaurant will operate for dinner from Tuesday to Saturday and lunch from Thursday to Saturday.
