Malaysian eatery PappaRich has opened a 90-seat restaurant at the Chevron Renaissance Shopping Centre Surfers Paradise.
Gold Coast franchisee Nick Ong said he was excited to open the brand’s 27th Australian store in the beachside location.
“The restaurant has a cosy and simple ambience with earthy tones and a comfortable dining area where customers can sample from the many traditional dishes on the menu,” Ong said.
“From the dining area, customers have a unique insider’s perspective to the open kitchen, as they see how the traditional Roti Canai is made and feel a connection to the Malaysian street food culture that inspires every PappaRich restaurant.
“The menu captures Malaysia’s diverse cultural background with strong representation of Malay, Indian and Chinese cuisine, and suits all styles of dining, whether it’s a crowd sharing a whole plate of premium hainan chicken or the fragrant sambal spinach, or individuals tucking into our signature nasi lemak with its strong fiery sambal.”
The menu includes chicken curry laksa with creamy spiced coconut broth, nasi lemak and vegetarian char koay teow, while drinks include the teh tarik (Malaysian milk tea), the mango mania, and the matcha rocks.
The dessert menu features ice kacang and banana fritters with vanilla ice cream, alongside other sweet treats.
Opening hours are Sunday to Wednesday, 11am to 9pm, and Thursday to Saturday, 11am to 9.30pm.
