Recently appointed Head Chef Courtney Blyde and Venue Manager Antonio Di Munno are set to launch a new chapter for Ovolo wine bar Mister Percy.
The duo will combine their experience to deliver a combination of old world and new at the Pyrmont, Sydney venue.
Blyde (ex-Mary’s Pizzeria, The Apollo and Cho Cho San) will look to local produce (sourced through family owned and operated Farmer and Son), mixing classic and innovative techniques when crafting Mister Percy’s vegetarian bistro-style menu.
The young, globally inspired chef’s menu is guided by Ovolo’s commitment to going vegetarian for 365 days, with all restaurants and bars across Australia and Hong Kong eschewing meat for the ‘Year of the Veg’.
A selection of small and big plates, sides and sweets — all designed to share — will pair with the handpicked wine list.
Signature dishes include the vinegar glazed onions, sour cream and nut loaf as well as a squashed lasagne with parmesan cream.
Mister Percy’s refreshed offering is accompanied by a selection of pours from local and boutique progressive producers, available by the glass quartino or bottle.
With more than 10 years’ experience under his belt, Di Munno (ex-Jet Bar Caffe, Parlour Lane Roasters Café and Wine Bar, and La Locanda) brings skilful food and beverage recommendations and positivity to create a home away from home for guests.
Open Wednesday to Saturday, 5pm till late.
