Global online restaurant booking platform, OpenTable, has announced Australian diners can now search and reserve seatings at overseas restaurants from both the OpenTable desktop site and their mobile device.
The international booking functionality allows Australians to browse, review and dine at more than 30,000 restaurants in more than 20 countries, including US, Canada, Germany, Ireland, Japan, Mexico and the UK.
“Australians are known to be active travellers and lovers of great food. We’re excited to give our customers the ability to discover great restaurants and book a table at some of the most exclusive overseas dining locations,” said Lisa Hasen, VP, APAC, at OpenTable.
In addition to browsing and booking restaurants abroad, Australian diners will be able to manage their bookings through their local OpenTable account meaning they can review, amend or cancel at any time.
The new functionality also allows international restaurateurs to market themselves to a new audience of Australian diners.
