This year’s winners of the NSW Sommelier’s Wine List Awards were announced on 7 July at a ceremony held in Sydney’s Parliament House.
The awards, run by the NSW Wine Industry Association (NSW Wine), aim to recognise sommeliers and venues with outstanding wine lists that support the diversity and quality of local wines.
Talented sommeliers and bar managers from across the state entered this year’s competition.
Entrants were narrowed down to 35 finalists and the top winners were chosen for eight categories.
Angelica Nohra from The Blue Door in Surry Hills took home NSW Sommelier’s Wine List of the Year award for her wine selection, which is made up of 100 per cent NSW wines.
Nohra was also one of the winners for the 2022 Best NSW Wine List in a Sydney Venue along with William Wilson from the ICC in Darling Harbour.
The 2022 Best NSW Wine List in a Regional NSW Venue went to Renee Wallace from Birch Restaurant (Moss Vale) and David Collins from Charred Kitchen & Bar (Orange).
