Time Out is asking Sydney chefs to put forward nominees for the 2016 Time Out Sydney Hot Talent Award.
The Hot Talent Award, sponsored by Hospitality magazine, is an award for a next-generation chef with huge promise. Past winners include Analiese Gregory (ACME, 2015), Mike Eggart and Jemma Whiteman (Pinbone, 2014) and Daniel Pepperell (10 William St, 2013).
Nominated by his or her peers, the Hot Talent Award winner must:
- Have worked in Sydney for more than six months
- Be a chef who has made significant progress through the ranks, and has gained the attention of their more senior peers in the past year
Chefs are invited to submit two names:
a) Who on your kitchen team, at sous chef level or below, is a future food star/one to watch/about to be well known in their own right?
and
b) Who on another restaurant's team, at sous chef level or below, is a future star/one to watch/about to be well known in their own right?
For each name, please include a sentence saying where they are working and why they deserve to be nominated for this award.
Please submit your nominations to hottalent@au.timeout.com before Thursday August 18.
