Piccolo Me, creators of the ‘giant deep-fried Nutella ice cream ball’ have developed a winter beverage for their new Royal Botanic Gardens caf.

The choco mintolo features minty hot chocolate topped with crushed Oreo, ice cream and chocolate sauce.

The new caf has a European-style kiosk set up, with savoury options and coffee on offer alongside dessert options including the cookiegato, an edible Nutella cookie cup topped with one scoop of vanilla ice cream and served with an espresso; the cookies and cream shake; the brogato, warm chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, double ristretto, coconut shavings, popping candy and crushed Peanut M&M’s; and the world’s largest Nutella fried ice cream, one litre of Nutella and vanilla ice cream, topped with crushed Maltesers and a warm salted caramel sauce syringe.

Piccolo Me is now open at the Royal Botanic Garden Sydney at the Palace Gates entrance, adjacent Macquarie Street. It is Piccolo Me’s 12th store since the opening of the first Piccolo Me caf in October 2012. The business will open its 15th store by the end of 2016.
