Ex-Nour chef Ran Kimelfeld is heading up the kitchen of a new Middle Eastern restaurant set to open in December.
Located in the former Scarlett Restaurant in Sydney’s The Rocks precinct, Tayim focuses on traditional cooking methods and bold flavours.
The share-style menu features dishes including grilled sardine shakshuka, roasted figs with radicchio and goat’s cheese and semolina rose pudding with pistachio meringue and berries.
The restaurant will also house a deli that will cater to the takeaway market, serving up breakfast and lunch options. Sandwiches and wraps will be filled with falafel, lamb kofta and chicken shish along with salad options including Israeli couscous with roasted cauliflower and char-grilled broccolini.
Tayim is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The deli is open Monday to Friday.
