The Miramare Group has announced the appointment of Jason Roberts as executive chef and consultant chef of The Bistro Manly Pavilion.

Roberts has previously spent seven years as executive chef at Bistro Moncur in Sydney, where he was mentored by Damien Pignolet. Roberts has also worked on television programs in Australia, New Zealand and the United States, spoken at food shows and culinary events, and authored three cookbooks.

Miramare Group CEO Santo Severino said “I am thrilled that Jason Roberts has come on-board. We have worked successfully together on many occasions over the last 10 years, and I am excited about the future.

“He brings a wealth of both local and international knowledge and experience. He is a young dynamite, who is passionate about food and cooking, and will add an energetic buzz to the kitchen, and I love that this passion and energy rubs off on all that surround and work with him.”

Chef Roberts said “I am excited to be sliding back into my chef’s whites to rekindle the love affair I started 20 years ago for Sydney restaurants and Aussie produce.

“The Manly Pavilion is a perfect canvas to explore and share a passion of food. Our menu will reflect the myriad of flavours and textures found throughout the Mediterranean… a love of Italian and Spanish cuisine, with a hint of classical French technique and the showcasing of Australian produce.”
