The Melbourne Arts Precinct is home to a new restaurant from The Fresh Collective.
The hospitality group has teamed up with the Melbourne Theatre Company to launch Miss Pearl Bar + Dining which offers a range of dining experiences to locals and theatre-goers.
“Miss Pearl will not only be a place to drink and dine before the theatre but also an incredible restaurant destination in itself. We can’t wait to share it with the entire city of Melbourne and beyond,” says Peter McCloskey, managing director of The Fresh Collective.
Head Chef Sushil Aryal is leading the kitchen after time at Cutler & Co., Vue de monde, Spice Temple and Cumulus Inc and has designed a menu that covers a la carte, banquet options and late-night snacks.
Debut dishes include kingfish with yuzu dressing, chive oil, pickled red chilli and laver along with crispy eggplant; steamed local snapper with fried bone and wakame broth, mussels and ginger and BBQ pork collar with burnt pineapple Nước chấm, pickled ginger and chicharrón.
Bartender Kristyanna Sheppard has curated the drinks list which is heavily anchored by cocktails.
The Botany Bloom sees gin combined with butterfly pea syrup, lavender liqueur, lemon and tonic, while the Rosey Pearl heroes vodka with Rosé, elderflower liqueur, rose and lemon.
Miss Pearl is open Monday to Saturday.
