Hospitality group Merivale will celebrate all things beer with its first-ever Beer-Oh-Beer! festival throughout September this year.

The program will feature a raft of activations and events across the group’s venue portfolio that aim to showcase a range of local and international brews.

Kicking off the monthly celebration on Saturday September 3 and Sunday September 4 is Vic on the Park in Sydney’s Marrickville which will host craft brewing event Hops & Dreams.

Over the course of the two days guests can expect a gathering of independent brewers including Stone & Wood, Malt Shovel, Panhead, Balter, Coopers, Young Henrys, Grifter, Philter, Heaps Normal and Yulli’s.

On September 17 Chefs Dan Hong and Michael Fox will partner up for a one-night event Biru & Yakitori at Sushi e in the CBD where guests can expect sake, skewers and Japanese beers.

The Pool Club in Sydney’s Ivy Precinct will host Italian-inspired event Bella Birra at Pool Club on Thursday and Friday evenings throughout the month with Peroni specials and pizza.

In anticipation for the festival Merivale has worked with bespoke brewery Malt Shovel to create bespoke beer The Good Tap.

The beer will be avaliable at Vic on the Park, The Newport, The Royal, The DOG, Excelsior and Queens Hotel with all proceeds going to charity.

Festival-goers can also participate in the Tins of Glory Competition to win prizes at the Vic On The Park, The Alex and The Newport.
