Melbourne’s renowned Japanese pizza is heading north, with Sash Japanese set to open its first Sydney venue this year.
After opening in August 2017, Sash became an instant hit in Melbourne, known for its sushi pizza and Japanese tacos.
The team have confirmed their Sydney restaurant will be located on Wentworth Avenue in Surry Hills and is due to open by October.
Head chef Rafael Santos will develop the menu, which takes inspiration from traditional Japanese cuisine with a modern twist.
The menu will feature Melbourne favourites such as spicy tuna tacos, crispy prawn sliders, ahi tropical tuna pizza and Sash’s signature rice-base pizzas.
