Melbourne’s Kew has a new watering hole in the form of cocktail lounge Bianchetto Bar.
Bianchetto Bar is the work of Chef and Restauranteur Joe Vargetto who also owns the neighbouring Sicilian eatery Mister Bianco.
Guests can expect a sophisticated cocktail offering crafted by Bartender Orlando Marzo who also is behind bottled cocktail brand Drinks by Loro.
The list includes creations such as a Sicilian sour with marsala, tomato, and lemon; an olive oil martini; plus the venue’s Bianchetto signature Americano al tavolo which is served tableside for guests.
Bar Bianchetto also serves a collection of local and Italian wines.
Food-wise, Vargetto and the Bianchetto Bar team have curated small plate menu designed to pair with the venue’s drink list.
Highlights include ‘nduja-filled olives ascolana; pane e mortadella scaccia; and a green pepper and spicy sausage spiedino.
On the sweeter side, guests can finish with a whiskey and chocolate cigar, cassata Amaro gelato, or boozy jellies.
Bianchetto Bar is now open Tuesday to Sunday at 26-28 Cotham Road, Kew, Victoria.
