MasterChef Australia has announced the 24 contestants set to appear on the 2020 season of the show.

Dubbed Back to Win, the program will see the personalities battle it out under the eyes of new judges Melissa Leong, Jock Zonfrillo and Andy Allen.

Hayden Quinn, Poh Ling Yeow, Ben Milbourne, Brendan Pang and Reynold Poernomo are all returning to the show that helped propel their careers.

Poernomo captured the public’s attention with his dessert creations in season seven, with the budding chef going on to launch KOI Dessert Bar in Sydney followed by Monkey’s Corner and Tini.

While he was known as the king of desserts, Poernomo’s promised it won’t be all about the sweet stuff. “Okay I won’t JUST do desserts this time round,” he posted on Instagram.

Season one runner-up Ling Yeow was the face of her own cooking show, Poh’s Kitchen, launched Jamface at the Adelaide Central Market in 2015 (now closed) and penned a number of cookbooks.

Contestants Amina Elshafei, Ben Ungermann, Callum Hann, Chris Badenoch, Courtney Roulston, Dani Venn, Emelia Jackson, Harry Foster, Jess Liemantara, Khanh Ong, Laura Sharrad, Lynton Tapp, Reece Hignell, Rose Adam, Sarah Clare, Sarah Tiong, Simon Toohey, Tessa Boersma and Tracey Collins will also make a comeback and round out the contestants.

There’s no official screen date for the show, but Network 10 says it’s “coming soon”.
