Marco Pierre White is headed back to Australia, headlining Melbourne’s Good Food Month this June. The internationally renowned chef — who recently announced the expansion of his culinary portfolio to Australia — will be joined by local talent including Andrew McConnell, Phil Wood, Matt Stone, Paul Iskov and Joel Valvasori-Pereza.

Returning to Melbourne in June, Good Food Month is set to present it’s series of feature events at Canvas House. The South Melbourne warehouse space will kick of it’s roster of dinners and lunches with An Evening with Marco Pierre White on 5 June, which will see Phil Wood (Pt Leo Estate and Laura) take on Pierre White’s classics and create them as his own. Chefs Matt Stone (Oakridge, Yarra Valley) and Paul Iskov (Fervor, Perth) will showcase their hyper-local, sustainable approach to cooking at The New Vanguard.

Lunchtime events include the Young Chefs Lunch with Marco Pierre White, who will mentor Melbourne’s next gen of culinary superstars as they showcase their skills. On Sunday 9 June Pierre White will then team up with Andrew McConnell to present a next-level Sunday roast.

“After last year’s custom-built, pop-up restaurant in the heart of Federation Square, we are excited to evolve our program and launch our new home for the 2019 event series,” says Venessa Cowell, director of Food Events, Fairfax. “Canvas House provides the perfect setting for a myriad of food experiences, as we play tribute to the inimitable Marco Pierre White and celebrate the local superstars who are shaping our culinary future. We are pleased to be working with our friends Canvas House and Tommy Collins by Atlantic Group. Canvas House, the centrally-located and unique warehouse space designed specifically for those looking for a distinctive and beautiful experience, and Tommy Collins, Melbourne’s premier event caterers.”

More events will be announced soon, with the Let’s Do Lunch series returning in 2019 to open up lunch offerings at Good Food Guide hatted restaurants.
