Sydney’s Manly Wharf Bar has swung open its doors, debuting a new look and a refreshed culinary offering just in time for summer.

The waterside bar has undergone an extensive renovation under May Hotels over the past months, which has seen an interior refresh and the addition of Bar Tropic; a Mediterranean-inspired eatery and cocktail bar.

“We have been very busy over the last few months working on our re-invention of Wharf Bar to create a world-class destination for Manly,” says Owner Ben May.

Executive Chef Francois Poulard is spearheading the culinary offering across the venue after time at Solotel’s Chiswick.

Poulard’s menu sees a focus on dishes from the Mediterranean, with share plates covering burrata, anchovies, padron peppers and oysters along with prawn cocktail on ice and fried school prawns.

There’s a big focus on seafood throughout; cold seafood platters with spanner crab salad, tiger prawns, kingfish crudo and oysters are sure to be a hit along with eastern rock lobster frites.

The cocktail menu is also inspired by European climes, with options including a spiced pineapple margarita as well as those that hero citrus-forward liqueurs such as limoncello.

The Main Bar sees a focus on elevated pub grub covering all the classics such as grass-fed rump steak, house-made pizzas, fish and chips, tacos, burgers and more, with the Jetty Bar proving the perfect spot to enjoy some oysters and a drink with a view.

Wharf Bar is open seven days a week.
