Located in Sydney’s Petersham, Majestic Gourmet Grocers has launched Harvest Bar in the upstairs space of the historic Majestic Theatre.

The new bar will offer a tapas menu, curated by head chef Shiman Woon, who’s previously worked at Three Williams and Cibo e Vino. Signature dishes include pan-roasted scallop with sweet corn puree and parmesan foam; Wagyu beef with roast pepper and black sesame seeds; grilled octopus with capsicum puree, Iberico ham and herb oil; and baked ravioli of goat cheese with pumpkin, pine nuts and burnt butter.

Harvest Bar’s wine list, featuring local and international drops, complements the tapas menu, while rotating local craft beers will be offered on tap, with the first instalment from Batch Brewing Company.

The historic Majestic Theatre has previously operated as a theatre, an ice-skating rink and most recently as an apartment block. Majestic Gourmet Grocers opened in July last year, comprising a European inspired fresh produce market, Mercardo Europa, as well as the Majestic Harvest restaurant.

The restaurant’s menu is predominantly Mediterranean-influenced and is currently open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
